PROJECT 365 PICTURE OF THE DAY 8/16/11

I was at Tattered Cover yesterday when I noticed this issue of Scrapbooks Etc... was in. I was pretty sure this layout was in the October issue, but wasn't sure until I turned to PAGE 14 and saw it for myself. This was one of my favorite layouts I ever did when I submitted it and was so glad when it was picked up. It is one I will treasure forever and love that I got paid for something I love so much.

PROJECT 365 PICTURE OF THE DAY 7/6/11

What a perfect, fun gift from Tami and her family for my birthday. Today, I enjoyed coffee from my new "I Love Lucy" mug and I also have a travel mug and bag commemorating one of my all time favorite tv shows and personalities...Lucille Ball. Tami found this idea while at Universal STudios and had planned to pick the gifts up, but then decided that ordering them to be delivered at home would be much easier...she found out that it wasn't the case, but found a way to ensure I would get this special memory and I will love it always. Lucille Ball "Lucy" is one of my all time favorite personalities and one I listed as "someone living or dead that you would want to invite for dinner" when I was a senior in highschool. I would still want to talk to her today.

PROJECT 365 PICTURE OF THE DAY 1/2/11

After being on break, we have all found ourselves sleeping in later. This morning, I awoke fairly early and Christopher came down a while later. When he came down, he said that I needed to go see the sunrise from the front yard. Boy was he right...it was a clear, cold morning, but after seeing the snow capped peaks, the glimmer of sun on the mountains, the fluffy clouds and the pink sky, I had to get my camera. I went out on the front porch in my nightshirt and no shoes (with snow on our entry way, no less) and captured a few photos. This will be one of my favorite photos ever...definitely for the beauty of the morning, but more importantly so, because Chris knew that this was special and wanted to share it with me because he "knew you would like it."
